Tara-Lynn is in the practising phase of her pupillage working under the supervision of Andrea Barnes in the following areas of law:
• Personal Injury
• Clinical Negligence
• Regulatory Law
She has been praised for her meticulous approach to any work she undertakes and for her knowledge of civil procedure and regulatory law. She also has a solid grounding in employment law.
Before commencing pupillage Tara-Lynn interned for a leading claimant personal injury QC and worked as a paralegal for a leading costs and defendant personal injury QC and is keen to develop her skills under the supervision of the Normanton Chambers Personal Injury and Costs groups. She also worked for the Judicial Appointments Commission quality assessing the recruitment and selection process and interviews ensuring fairness and compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
Prior to joining the Bar, Tara-Lynn worked in healthcare management and medical education where she focused on standard setting and policy implementation working in the UK, Ireland and Australia. She also freelanced as a HR, policy development and implementation consultant for young people’s charities.
Tara-Lynn mentors and advocates for vulnerable young people supporting them back into education and training. She has also volunteered for projects such as the School’s Consent Project, facilitating empowerment workshops for young people covering the law in relation to rape, other sexual offences and consent.
Tara-Lynn also lived overseas working in the ski and adventure sports industry. As such she still enjoys skiing, the outdoors, adventure sports and travel.
