Zoey completed her pupillage in September 2018 and is focussing on the areas of Family Law, Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury.
Before being called to the Bar, Zoey spent five years working as a Legal Assistant as well as over a decade working for a leading legal expenses provider. She qualified as a Civil & Commercial Mediator in 2006 and since then has taught mediation around the world, including South Africa and the Cayman Islands.
As an Assistant to a Leading Senior Barrister, Zoey has been involved in a wide variety of complex and high-value clinical negligence and personal injury matters. She regularly attends client conferences and has gained considerable experience in researching quantum and drafting advices and other documents, which has equipped her well for her own practice.
Zoey has developed a particular interest in cases relating to children and birth and is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children.
She has also gained direct experience in Child Law having been a Family Justice for over 10 years, sitting on the bench in the South West of England. In that capacity she deals with both Public and Private Law hearings and applications.

Zoey is married with two sons. She is a keen runner, covering distances from 5km to marathons and is currently working her way through the six World Marathon Majors having competed in London, Boston, Berlin and Chicago. She is also a trustee of the Society of Mediators promoting the use of mediation and the Free Mediation Project which provides mediation services to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
