About Fionnuala

With almost 20 years experience at the Irish Bar, Fionnuala joined Normanton Chambers in May 2024 to further develop her civil practice focused on chancery and commercial law in England & Wales.
Fionnuala specialises in all matters related to property, including:

• Landlord & Tenant
• Mortgages
• Trusts
• Probate
• Commercial leases
• Contracts
She also has extensive experience in the areas of banking, finance and securities as well as in insolvency and wider civil matters including commercial disputes and intellectual property.

She is Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator.

Her clients include banks, receivers, commercial investors, housing bodies and charities as well as private individuals and companies.

After graduating with a degree in law from Trinity College (LLB(Hons)), Fionnuala studied at the King’s Inns, obtaining the Barrister-at-Law Degree before being called to the Bar of Ireland in 2005. She was later called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2013 where she is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London.

Fionnuala is fluent in Irish and English and has a working knowledge of German and Italian. She is a member of the Probate Bar Association of Ireland and is currently working on establishing and promoting a new specialist property bar association in Ireland.

When time allows, Fionnuala enjoys sea swimming, travelling, cryptic crosswords, art and cinema.
